Body Dynamics Illawarra has a range of face-to-face classes including BoDI Core, Strong BoDI, Movers & Shakers, and Exercise Physiology Group Sessions.
We also offer online programs that you can complete in your own time at home, including Strong Balance, Beginner Core and our Golf Program 1.
- Please Note
All new participants will be required to have an initial consultations prior to commencing a class. This assists us to identify any health concerns that we may need attention prior to attending a class or allow us to adapt activities to ensure your safety.
Private Health Insurance Rebate
Exercise Physiology Group classes do generally attract a rebate from Private Health Insurers. It is your responsibility to contact your insurer to enquire to the level of cover. If a receipt is required for health insurances, please email heidi@bodydynamics.com.au and one will be forwarded to you.
Cancellation and Non-Attendance
Body Dynamics Illawarra appreciates 24 hours notice for a cancellation of any service. If you are unable to attend the class that you had booked, then you will be able to make up the class with another class from that week. If that does not work for you please contact heidi@bodydynamics.com.au to discuss options.
If you do not attend the class without cancelling the booking and rescheduling, prior to the end of the week, you will need to contact heidi@bodydynamics.com.au to discuss options.

BoDI Core
BoDI Core
Our BoDI Core class utilises traditional core stabilisation movements whilst also focusing on your movement control through the pelvis, hips and shoulders. Common postural weaknesses are address through a range of movements to assist in achieving a whole-body activity program. At Body Dynamics, we use our Exercise Physiology background to target the class for the participants rather than just going through ‘the motions’.
If you are new to BoDI Core, we recommend starting with our Beginner Core Stability course online. If you’re unsure, give us a call and we can guide you to the right class.
All new clients/participants will require an initial consultation with one of our Exercise Physiologists to determine suitability to the class and ensure that our instructors can provide modifications to reduce clients risk.
Strong BoDI
Strong BoDI is designed to improve your general strength, mobility and trunk stability. Strong BoDi is a circuit-based class held in our exercise studio where we mix exercise with good fun! This class is not suitable for beginners or people just starting to return to exercise.

Movers and Shakers – Parkinson’s Group
Movers and Shakers – Parkinson’s Group
Movers & Shakers is a 10-week movement and education program specifically designed for people with Parkinson’s who want to take an active role in their treatment.
Our 3 phased program allows the participant to learn about why exercise is a vital part of their treatment and how to perform effective exercise. The program also discusses other topics including dysphagia, cognitive and mental health and tools that may be helpful as their progress on their Parkinson’s journey. The exercise classes focus on strengthening, mobility, coordination and stability.
The Body Dynamics Illawarra Movers & Shakers Program is outlined below.
Some people may wish to complete some individual consultations prior to joining the group program. A Medicare referral is an excellent way to subsidise the cost to the individual session so we suggest to discuss with your GP.
BoDI recognises that some people living with Parkinson’s Disease may not wish to join our group and that is ok. We will work out with you the best way to implement a program that suits you best.
Program Runs: Mon, Wed, Thurs and Friday at midday in the clinic

BoDI offers a small group-based time slot that allows individuals to attend the clinic to complete their individual program with assistance for one of our team. This session is ideal for clients who need support in implementing a new movement program, who my need more motivations and accountability or who may need a little more supervision for safety or confidence.
Program Runs: Group sessions Tuesday 9:15am and Thursday 2pm.
Strong Balance ONLINE
Strong Balance
Strong Balance is a movement program designed by the ‘Barefoot Movement’ Podiatrist, Paul Thompson, and our exercise physiologists, for those people who are starting to notice that their balance is not as good as it used to be.
Strong Balance is a full body movement program looking from the floor to the head and how to strengthen to improve balance.
Beginner BoDI Core ONLINE
Beginner BoDI Core
Our Beginner BoDI Core program is great way to start improving strength and stability through the spine, hips and shoulders.
Each lesson will take you through a series of floor exercises, giving you the skills and understanding on how to manage each movement on your own or in a Pilates style class environment.
Our Beginners BoDI Core program is self-paced and should, as a minimum be completed over an 8-week period.
The program includes 2 classes for you to work through as your become more proficient in the movements.

Body Dynamics has designed a program that works on improving your mobility, joint stability, general and functional golf strength, perfect for meeting the needs of a new golfer or someone who wants to start improving their golf game through exercise. With the help of our resident golf pro Mitch Donlan, Body Dynamics Illawarra brings you a comprehensive online program so you feel less stiffness in your swing, play more consistency and ultimately play better golf.
Our level 1 program is suitable for people commencing golf or for those who wish to start targeting a movement program to improve their golf game.
